What is Vibio?
Vibio is a social commerce site for people who want to let their personal style do their talking. Vibio users list items that they have, connect with people they know, and share, sell or buy stuff among their circle of contacts. On Vibio, we don’t care what you’re thinking about, we want to know what you got.
What is a style profile?
It’s the stuff you own, that you really love. Once you begin listing your items on Vibio, you start building your “style profile.” If you don’t have any style, your style profile is going to be really boring. So please don’t just list off the argyle socks from your top drawer, or the inhabitants of your tool chest; unless it’s a vintage 1911 mallet, we’re not really interested. Get it?
How do I earn badges?
Badges are earned when you reach certain milestones on Vibio. For instance, if you’re willing to showcase your style, we’re going to award you with an iconic badge for entering your first item, and then another one after your first ten items, and so on. Oh, and they’re pretty distinctive badges which earn you instant status on Vibio; but that doesn’t mean we think you have superior collections. We’re actually not looking at your stuff, so don’t go getting overly inflated.
Is Vibio Free to use?
It’s free to showcase your style on Vibio, offer your items for sale, and to use all of the features; we won’t even charge you for your questionable taste.
Listing, Buying and Selling
How do I list an item?
Use the search button to find a product similar to the item you own. Vibio’s database contains product descriptions that make it easy for you to list yours by clicking I ‘have’ one! If you don’t see a similar product on Vibio, pat yourself on the back for being unique, then you can add a product to Vibio’s database. Click on the “add item” link and you will be guided through the process of adding a product. After you've "added an item," you'll have to "edit yours" to list yours for sale, if you're selling it.
How do I sell an item?
If you decide something you own is no longer “worthy” of you, or you’re looking to make a quick buck, you can sell it. First search for a product similar to your item, click I ‘have’ one! then choose “yes” for sale, from the drop down menu. Or if you change your mind, you can go back into any item by choosing “edit yours” and change its status to not for sale. Once you’ve listed an item for sale, you’ll have to wait around for someone to make an offer.
Do I have to sell my stuff, once I list it?
Nope. Vibio is a place to showcase your style, and sell it whenever you’re ready. If you know that you’d like to sell an item when you list it, choose “yes” for sale, in the drop down menu after choosing “edit yours.” Items you have already listed can be listed for sale or not for sale at any time, by simply editing your item’s listing. Just click on your profile and then your collections, and go back into an item to “edit your” listing. Whenever you offer an item for sale, you can suggest a price as well, or just leave it to your circle to make an embarrassingly low offer and insult you.
How do you buy an item?
After searching for something on Vibio and finding it, you can place an offer by clicking the “offer” button. The seller either accepts the offer, or rejects the offer, or begins to negotiate. Bargaining is encouraged on Vibio, and your conversations will be tracked in the negotiation log. We’re counting on you to play nice and not demean one another, or we’ll have to come over and scold you.
Which forms of payment do Vibio users use?
Once a seller accepts an offer, it’s up to the two of you to decide on the method of payment. We suggest cash on delivery only for those people in your circle who you already know, otherwise it would be a real drag to have to meet someone who is not really your cup of tea, even if you share the same superior style.
What is the offer process?
On Vibio we leave the negotiating to the buyer and seller. It’s really easy to buy and sell because our negotiation log tracks your chatter and takes you through the process, but we’ll explain it here in detail for those who like to read mundane information.
The negotiation begins when a Vibio member sends an offer on an item listed for sale. The seller is free to reject any offer made, by clicking “reject offer,” if they don’t feel it’s up to snuff. Or, if a seller prefers to bargain, they can neither reject nor accept an offer, and choose to negotiate a price instead. If you like to bargain that might work out well for you. Both buyers and sellers can negotiate back and forth until there is an agreed upon price.
Once an offer is accepted, there are several steps to take:
The buyer sends the seller his name and address, duh.
The buyer sends the seller payment, using an agreed upon method.
The item is then packed and shipped by the seller, and the seller goes to the “update offers” page and informs Vibio that the item has been shipped.
Once the item is received, the buyer should acknowledge that the item has been received and is willing to conclude the transaction.
How do I communicate with buyers or sellers?
Once you find an item you are interested in simply click on the make “offer” button and begin the conversation. Our negotiation log with track your offers to other Vibio users, who have excellent taste, like yours; the thread of messages related to an offer will be displayed, until the transaction is completed.
I don’t want to sell my treasured item anymore, what should I do?
It’s easy to be coquettish about your possessions on Vibio. If you no longer want to part with something, just go back into the item listing and choose “edit yours” to change the status to not for sale.
How do I know if I have sold something or if someone has made an offer on an item?
You will receive an email from Vibio notifying you of an offer with a link to the potential buyer’s profile so you can decide if he or she is worthy of owning something from your collection.

Why does Vibio search Amazon?
We recognize that the whole world has not yet discovered the merits of showcasing their style on Vibio . . . and in the meantime, we want you to be able to easily find and add items. In order to help you search successfully, Vibio accesses Amazon’s database of products.
Why should I connect my style profile to Facebook?
You don’t have to connect your “style profile” to Facebook, but it might be a worthwhile idea to let your superior taste move out beyond the reaches of your Vibio circle. Who knows, your best friend from 1992 might really want to buy that classic Louis Vuitton bag you’ve been wanting to unload, and how else are they going to find out about it? Plus, we’ll award you with a really distinguished badge for doing so.
How do I link my Facebook account to Vibio?
Go to your profile and click on Invite Friends to view your collections; then go to the connection finder and add your Facebook account in the space provided.
How do I share an item with friends not on Vibio?
Vibio provides you with an easy way to break out of your inner circle to the larger masses on Facebook. Once you've linked to a Facebook account, simply click the Facebook icon next to the item or collection you want to share and it will post on your FB wall.
How do I add more connections on Vibio?
There are two ways to expand your circle on Vibio. You can either find people you already know through the "Connection Finder" tab on the Contacts page, or simply search for a person's name in the search bar at the top of each page, by selecting a user search from the drop down menu. We’d absolutely love for you to get the word out about your style, so what are you waiting for? The more style you got, the more to shout about.
